RECOVERY IS ALL AROUND. The child has native speakers of his or her childhood world speaking and sharing a similar experience to him/her often.

1. There is NO DIRECT PRESSURE to learn during the Stages (no tests, no grades, etc.).
2. There is NO TIME LIMIT for learning (no end of the semester).
3. There is NO WAY OF ESCAPING into a different problem or dysfunction (no vacations).
4. Our recovery is NOT SEQUENCED BY ANY preconceived idea (no textbook).
5. There are LOTS OF REPETITION. Our lives contain repetitions and the language around us constantly reflects it.
6. Both the LANGUAGE AND THE WORLD ARE NEW  to the child within (and therefore interesting).
7. All the language is spoken IN THE CONTEXT OF THE SURROUNDING REAL WORLD.
