Most of us are secretly needy children. We want love and nurturance from our children, and often fail to provide it in return. 

Our children are forced to give love, and end up neglected. We grow up still desiring to get mature love from others attempting to recreate surrogate parents. If we are to recover, and to engage in the ten stage course, we have to learn how to nurture ourselves from within.
