These shame based betrayals often remain unknown, as they are passed unconsciously through the generations.</span><div> <span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace; font-size: large;"><br /> Some of us are more sensitive to these by nature, and feel these wrongs as violations. They question the source of this poison infecting them, since its source feels external to them. As unnamed traumas begin to contaminate us, we start to perceive grave errors, dissonant from our sense-of-self. This discernment begins in early childhood.<br /><br />If the sensitive child within is not crushed by the emotional limits of his parents, he distances himself from the traumas leaking through mother and father and begins a survival strategy.  Stepping aside from the emotional constriction of our caretakers and creates a secret world. In this private world, we preserves what is best in us. From this protected place, we observe those in our family and world who would destroy our original impulses and our authenticity holding on to these truths at all costs. Our devotion is not to mother and father or social propriety, but to these rare gifts of truth that remain at our core.<br /><br />If the child within persists in this self-preservation into adulthood, we will succeed in establishing a true identity, separate from the disguised cruelty of normalcy. In so doing, we breaks the cycle of trans-generational ancestral voices. A new understanding of our child within emerges, consonant with our original birthed truth, begins.</span><br /> <br /> <br /> The Ten Stages is a studied recovery course.
