Being at a crossroads in our old and new life and we intuitively know that the only way to release our heartbreaking history is to grieve. We approach this profound sorrow slowly, deliberately. We would be overwhelmed if we leapt precipitously into shedding our lifetime of camouflage into dismantling the false self that has for so long shielded us from harsh realities. The loss of the dissociation of idealised parental love is difficult, yet easy to underestimate. It is wrenching to surrender, but we cannot move forward until we do. So we slow down and prepare ourselves. We nurture our healthy lifestyle. We optimise our allies. We work to respect the natural timing of our healing process. We become masters of patience. We become entirely ready to grieve our past and to let of go of our false self
