The Ten Stages is in the process of creating a series of Kindfulness meditations for the opening of its new meditation centre to cope with a variety of situations including recovering from strokes, heart surgery. self-criticism, old family wounds, feeling betrayed, money problems, and rage or sadness.
Here are some of the practical short practices for life:
"The Kindfulness Pause Practice
When I Feel Triggered
1. We notice our body.
2. We choose to pause.
3. We exhale gently to relax.
4. We recognise our feelings.
5. We sense our heart beating.
6. We offer compassion to ourself.
7. When We become ready, We reengage ourself."
Here are some phrases for practicing loving-kindfulness and cultivate self-compassion:
  • "May my heart be full of love and kindness.
  • May I live my life with ease.
  • May I be free from inner and outer danger to my body, heart, and mind.
  • May my mind and heart be free from sticky thoughts and feelings.
  • May I accept my life with all its challenges and opportunities.
  • May my mind and heart be open like the sky to all that flows through.
  • May I tend to myself during this trying time with loving care.
  • May I be able to hold my fear with tender care.
  • May I give myself the gift of tending to myself.
  • May I receive the support I need.
  • May life rise up to meet us all.
We are eager to regularly practice this 20-second practice
