As we study we come to realise that the past is constantly determining by our present actions, and that we have gone to any lengths to suppress and avoided learning anything about our childhood history. We continue to live in our repressed childhood situation, ignoring the fact that is no longer exists, continuing to fear and avoid dangers that, although once real, have not been real for a long long time.
